The Principle of Mentalism

The Principle of Mentalism

This is the finale dialog on the seven Hermetic Principles, for the past six weeks I have introduced six of the seven, to many for the first time (see The Kybalion, a study of the seven principles was published in 1908 by three nameless initiates, allowing this ancient wisdom to be exposed to the masses for the first time.   The seven Hermetic Principles are the foundation of ancient Egyptian philosophical thought; developed by the legendary Egyptian philosopher/teacher Hermes.

I am not sure why I did not write about the seven principles in order, it came to me to do it that way and I followed my thoughts. The last principle that I will introduce in this series is Mentalism which actually is the first of the seven principles and the connecting force to the other six which are: Correspondence, Vibration, Polarity, Rhythm, Gender and Cause and Effect.

It would be impossible to express the importance of understanding the Principle of Mentalism in a few paragraphs, according to the Kybalion, “That which is the Fundamental Truth- the Substantial Reality- is beyond true naming, but the wise men call it the All” the Principle of Mentalism, teaches that “The All is Mind and the Universe is Mental”.

Wayne B. Chandler (Ancient Future) describes it this way. “This principle embodies the truth that the All or God is Mind. It explains that the All is the substantial reality underlying all the visible manifestations and appearances that we categorize as the material universe: matter, energy, and all that is apparent to our material senses”

I truly believe that I have accomplished my objective of providing information to the ones whose time has come to hear it. Do your research if you are reading this dialog it is not by chance. I would again like to thank Gale and Ben Armstead for providing great books like the Kybalion, allowing me to read, learn and share with you over the past year.
On Sunday January 4th  at 3:30pm Gale Armstead will give a lecture on the New Year forecast at the Apollo Theater, call 212 410-6755 for more information. I wish you and your loved ones a healthy, happy and productive 2015; please contact me at 646 329 6727 or send an email to  if you would like further information on the Seven Hermetic Principles.

The Principle of Cause and Effect

The Principle of Cause and Effect

There was a time in ancient Egypt were a race of people developed the ability to connect with the all-knowing mind of the universe. It was a time when that wisdom and knowledge created the Great Pyramid the oldest standing structure in the world, it has never been replicated, it is the only structure in existence aligned true north with only 3/60th of a degree of error. Mathematical formulas used to build that geometric marvel were only recently discovered in the twentieth century.

The legendary Egyptian teacher Hermes was one of the greatest thinkers of that time. His Seven Hermetic Principles serve as the foundation of that ancient philosophical wisdom. A wisdom that continues to burn, this is my sixth dialog on the seven Hermetic Principles (see to light the fire of wisdom to another ear.  I did not write about the principles in order but the law of Cause and Effect happens to be the sixth principle.

The Kybalion a study of the ancient Hermetic Principles teaches us that “Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause; everything happens according to law; Chance is but a name for law not recognized. I will give an example I decided to write about the seven Hermetic Principles after purchasing the Kybalion at a psychic fair hosted by Ben and Gail Armstead founders of the Wisdom Temple
There is no such thing as chance and coincidence does not exist they are both terms used by individuals ignorant of the sixth principle.  All things happen for a reason if you are reading this dialog for the first time perhaps you should attend the January 4th lecture by Gail Armstead on the New Year forecast at the Apollo Theater.
Hermes was considered the father of astrology Gail and Ben have carried his message for years perhaps Gail’s astrological forecast for 2015 will be something you should hear. The doors will open at 3:30pm on that day for further information call 212 410-6755. If you would like more information on this dialog call my direct line at 646 329-6727 or send an email to

The Principle of Gender

The Principle of Gender

I first became aware of the seven Hermetic Laws of Ancient Egypt after reading “Ancient Future” by Wayne B. Chandler, a book I strongly suggest you read if you are interested in this subject matter. It will also be required reading for my spring workshop (The 8 Gates Theory & Practice) at the City College of New York this May. The late Dr. Ivan Van Sertima (who wrote the introduction to Ancient Future) and Wayne Chandler’s research has given the world wonderful scholarly evidence of the true original creators and practitioners of the seven Hermetic Principles.

If you are reading this dialog for the first time I am following an old tradition of bring the teachings of ancient Egypt to the ears of those who want to hear them. There are seven principles that can also be considered laws that have been keep secret from the masses for centuries until in the early 1900 three Initiates published the Kybalion, a book that introduced the ancient Egyptian Hermetic philosophy to the masses. Every century after carriers of the truth have kept the flame of wisdom alive.

The Principle of Gender is closely related to the Principle of Polarity (see because it embodies the truth that gender is manifested in everything the Yin and the Yang are always working together. Chandler writes that “On the physical plane, this principle manifests as sex, but on higher planes it takes other forms. No creation, whether physical, mental or spiritual, is possible with the Principle of Gender

In the human experience every male has elements of feminine energy and every female carries the elements of masculine energy a truth that has caused centuries of pain to the unknowing. We see this principle reflected in the creation of planets, solar systems, and animal life of all kinds; writes Chandler in his study of the seven principles.

I encourage you conduct your own investigation of the seven Hermetic Principles and help to keep the ancient flame of wisdom burning. If you would like to discuss this dialog further send me an email at or call 646 329-6727. For information on my spring workshop at City College call 212 650-7312

The Principle of Vibration

The Principle of Vibration
There are seven Hermetic Principles which were developed thousands of years ago in ancient Egypt by the legendary philosopher-teacher Tehuti also known to the Greeks as Hermes. Early Egypt was the birth place of this philosophical thought that has had an influence on every spiritual, religious and scientific philosophy known to the modern world. The seven Hermetic Principles served as the foundation of the teachings of Hermes  and is the only wisdom preserved from this fascinating period in human development, wisdom that has be kept secret for centuries.

In the early 1900’s three anonymous initiates published the Kybalion, a study of the seven principles. This was the first time that individuals other than initiates in secret societies were allowed to study and practice this ancient Egyptian wisdom. Many are still not aware that this knowledge exists; it is written in the Kybalion that “The lips of wisdom are closed, except to the ears of understanding.  I find it fascinating that every generation this lamp of wisdom brings light and understanding to a new set of ears.

In keeping with tradition I have been given the ability to expose this wisdom to a new set of understanding ears. For the next few weeks I will provide a brief outline of each of the seven Hermetic principles not in order but in the way that they intuitively come to me. Vibration is the third Hermetic Principle and the second one that I am writing about.
Long before modern science proved that all things in our universe vibrated, the third Hermetic Principle stated that; “everything is in motion, nothing is at rest, and everything vibrates.”  Hermetic philosophy considers the only difference between Matter, Energy, Mind and Spirit is the varying rates of vibration.

The early Egyptians used the third principle to conquer natural phenomena. The ancient elders taught that “He, who understands the Principle of Vibration, has grasped the scepter of power. Each of the dialogs in this serious will be posted on my blog at If you would like more information on this subject call 646 329-6727 or send me an email at

The Principle of Correspondence

The Principle of Correspondence
“As above, so below; as below, so above,” is the concept used to explain the wisdom found in the second Hermetic principle of Correspondence. This principle is based on the belief that there is a working relationship or correspondence between the many planes or levels of the universe. Early Egyptian Hermetic philosophy viewed all that was within the universe being developed from the same source of energy, and this source of energy was known to the early master teachers as “The All”

“The All” instills its formula in each and every aspect of creation. By acknowledging the presence of this formula one may understand the higher planes of life by studying the lower, and know the lower planes through examination of the higher. The relationship between the macrocosmic and the microcosmic formulas of the universe

This second Principle is the hidden key to the understanding of how the early Egyptians understood and used the science of astronomy and were the first recorded surgeons. Today we understand that in an atom there is the nucleus and various particles spin and orbit around this nucleus, we now understand that our stellar system has the same model. The Sun like the atom is the nucleus and the many planets like the atoms protons and electrons spin on their axes as they orbit around it. “As above,  so below”.

The ancient Hermetic symbol of the Principle of Correspondence is now referred to as the Star of David. This six star symbol has been regarded as officially Jewish for only about a century, writes Wayne B Chandler in his remarkable research on this subject titled “Ancient Future”. According to Chandler this six star symbol was part of the cultures of early India and Egypt over 2,000 years ago

The early Egyptians called this symbol the Star of Creation, the upward pointing triangle the microcosm and the downward triangle represented the macrocosm. Two identical forms interlocked yet independent, each being a part reflection the whole; “as above, so below”. The Principle of Correspondence is the third part of my seven part introduction to the seven Harmetic Principles (see for more information on this dialog call me at 646 329-6727 or send me an email at
