Alkaline Water

Alkaline Water
We all know that water is very important for our health; the lack of water can be deadly. There are many types of drinking water options available but it is important to understand some drinking water can be more helpful to your overall self-health strategies then others.

I believe the best water to drink to maximize your health is ionized alkaline water. On a pH scale from 3.0 to 10, ionized alkaline water is between 9.0 and 10. Most commercial bottled water is in the 5.0pH range; New York tap water is around 7.0 the higher the pH value in your drinking water the better it is for your health.

New York City has some of the best tap water in the country but the many chemicals used to make it safe has taken away much of its natural health value.  Many of the chemicals used in our water system have been found to be harmful and toxic; chlorine is one of those controversial chemicals. There is a strong movement currently trying to get New York to reduce or eliminate the use of chlorine in the treatment of the cities tap water due to research showing harmful health reactions to chlorine treated water.

Ionized water machines will filter out chemicals and toxins in regular tap water  transforming normal tap water into healthy ionized alkaline water with a point 9.0 or better pH value. The best machines will produce the highest pH value of 10 in the ionized alkaline water that they transform from tap water. The reason why the high pH value is so important in preserving health is its ability to reduce the acidity in the body. Excess acids in the body will attack and destroy healthy body tissue, the body protects itself from this by creating fat cells.

Alkaline water can neutralize the acidity of the body and the high pH value in alkaline water will reduce the bodies need to produce fat and cholesterol to protect itself from harmful acids. Most people who drink and cook with ionized alkaline water will experience weight loss another benefit. When detoxing the use of alkaline water can address the toxic effects of mercury and other harmful metals found in the body due to the air that we breathe and our diet.

As we grow older stress caused by the aging process can increase the acidity in our body one of the ways our immune system defends itself is to take calcium from our bones to develop an alkaline buffer to naturalize the acidity. Once the calcium in our bones becomes depleted osteoporosis will develop.

Osteoporosis is a silent disease because bone damage can occur without outward signs or symptoms until something brakes. There is a great deal of research that shows drinking alkaline water can reduce bone loss and become a useful tool in addressing osteoporosis.

My family has used water ionizers for years we currently use the Ionic Oasis Water Ionizer at our Ki wellness center. A good water ionizer in an investment in your health and in time you will find it more cost effective to make your own drinking water. for additional information on this dialog send me an email at yourway2wellness2014@gmail.com

We All Fall Down

We All Fall Down

By: William A Rogers

Have you ever watched a child learn to walk?  They fall down a great deal but they keep getting up, until one day they start walking more than falling. One can say that falling down is part of learning to walk.  As we grow older falling down can become a part of learning to live.  We often set goals for ourselves and all too often become discouraged if we fall short of them. Sometimes it seems if there was no bad luck, we would not have any luck at all.  This is the time where our faith is tested.  We all fall down - but faith allows us to keep getting up.

The universal transformation period we are currently experiencing can become very difficult to adjust to, even if you are aware that the energy of the mind of the universe is moving from competitive mind energy to creative mind energy.  This concept isn't new.  Wallace D. Wattles wrote about it in 1910 in his groundbreaking book “The Science of Getting Rich: Financial Success Through Creative Thought”.  His book inspired Rhonda Byrne’s bestselling book “The Secret”.

The bottom line here is:  we have more power to control our life than we fully understand.  What you think about often will manifest itself in your reality over time.  The power of attraction is very real, even if you don't believe it is.  Take a minute and look around.  Everything that you see in your material environment was first a thought in someone’s mind.  Wattles used this universal law as a means to generate wealth.  But the law of thought manifestation can be applied to anything.  You are already doing it. This ageless secret is now becoming common knowledge because it has to. We're moving into the frequency of truth.

It is important that you understand this because your ability to create reality from your thoughts is becoming stronger as the universal creative mind energy grows stronger in this transformational period.  We are the new pioneers and will become the example that will help others to understand.  That is why you are reading this dialog.  To be aware of the concept of thought manifestation is the path to belief.   You will become discouraged, but do not give up.  We all fall down.  Just get up and continue to focus on what you want in your life.

Develop a clear picture of it in your mind - and the mind of the universe will attract the support you need to accomplish your goal.  But you must have faith. It is important to understand your greatest obstacles for success is fear and doubt. We all fall down don’t allow fear and doubt keep you from getting up and trying it again.

The Season of Fire

The Season of Fire
By: William A Rogers
Wednesday June 21st was the first day of the summer season. Ancient Taoist masters developed wellness theories for each season utilizing the Five Elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and water. Fire is the element of summer. For those who wish to use a proactive approach to health I will discuss a few Taoist concepts for health maintenance during the summer season of fire.

The Heart is the Yin organ associated with the Fire element of summer and the Small Intestine is the Yang organ. Mars is the planet, red is the color, love and joy are positive summer emotions and hate and impatience are negative summer emotions. I find it interesting that the planet Mars is associated with the color red and the act of war by many who had little or no understanding of these ancient Taoist concepts.

Heart attacks are more common in the summer and emotion plays a major part. Negative emotions such as anger and impatience can be a greater risk to the heart in the summer.  Negative emotions also create problems for our small intestine. The small intestine is the digestive tract between the stomach and cecum. Absorption and digestion are not the only functions of the small intestine; according to Taoist theory the small intestine also helps the body digest unsettled emotions.

During the hot summer months negative emotions of anger, worry, sadness, fear and impatience should be avoided as much as possible. If the small intestine becomes over loaded with negative emotions it can become unhealthy. An unhealthy small intestine can cause hormonal and menstrual disorders for women. It can also develop mucus in the lungs and be the cause of back pain and varicose veins.

The Harlem Ki Energy Center www.kienergycenter.com  can help you develop a proactive approach to summer health with meditation classes and special Ki small intestine organ massage treatments. Ki treatments can help the small intestine eliminate toxins caused by negative emotions. Meditation can eliminate negative thoughts which can help develop the positive summer emotions of love and joy.

The Book of Answers

The Book of Answers
By: William A Rogers

The I Ching also known as The Book (Ching) of Change (I) has influenced the development of mankind for over seven thousand years. Taoist master Wu Wei the internationally known author and expert on the understanding and interpretation of the I Ching; refers to this legendary oracle as the Book of Answers. I use master Wei’s book “I Ching: The Book of Answers” when teaching individuals how to consult the I Ching during my workshops at the City College of New York and in private sessions.

I also consider the I Ching to be a book of advice because that is what consulting the I Ching will provide. I use the yarrow stick method when consulting the I Ching there are other options, the use of three coins is the most popular method used in the West. I prefer the yarrow stick method because it has been the traditional method that has been successfully used for thousands of years. It takes longer to use the yarrow method, one of the reason westerners prefer the coin method which is shorter but not as exact.

Carl Jung who was one of the most distinguished psychologists in the western world wrote the forward in the first and at that time considered the most authentic translation of the I Ching written by Richard Wilhelm and Cary Baynes in 1949. Jung was attracted to the I Ching’s psychological applications which confirmed many of his theories of human consciousness.

Consulting the I Ching using the yarrow stick method allows the consulter to search for cosmic advise to questions by preventing the intellectually conscience and socially programed mind from tampering with how the results are obtained. There is a part within each of us that knows the answers to all our questions and will guide us in choosing the correct answer.

If you would like to schedule a private I Ching reading or learn how to consult the I Ching call my direct line at 646 329-6727 to schedule an appointment.
