The Power of Forgiving

The Power of Forgiving
The power of forgiving is in the freedom of letting go. Social programing can make letting go of the past very difficult. Something happen, social programing influences your interpretation of the right or wrong, good or bad, happiness or sadness of what happen. People are programed differently and interpretations will be different. Some see the glass half full, and some see the glass half empty all due to social programing.

Some social programed interpretations will allow for the feeling of being victimized.  I learned from Jamillah Shabazz a spiritual  channeler though her spiritual guide that; “You must lose yourself to find yourself, only then can you understand the power and freedom of letting go”. Many carry the emotional pain and the story of an action long after the action has passed.

In his bestselling book “A New Earth” Eckhart Tolle wrote “Nothing ever happened in the past that can prevent you from being present now: and if the past cannot prevent you from being present now, what power does it have?” Carrying the anger and pain of the past is not healthy.  We are moving into the beginning of a new year; try not to put your past into your future in 2016.

The power of forgiving will allow you to let go of the past. Some may view forgiving as a sign of weakness, but the negative emotional pain they carry is self-destructive and a primary source of many illnesses. Being in accord with oneself is being in harmony. To be truly in harmony, you must be in the present, not in the pain of the past or the fear of the future.

I would like to thank those who have taken the time to read my articles; I wish all that read this article a very healthy and productive New Year. Keep health, wealth and love in your thoughts throughout the New Year. We have the power to manifest reality from our thoughts, always think about what you want. Don’t spend time on thinking about what you don’t have.

Most of all try not to let the pass keep you from realizing the power of letting go. Try to allow yourself the freedom of forgiving; perhaps to a loved one or a friend.

40+ Wellness Options and Strategies

40+ Wellness Options and Strategies
Saturday April 30th to Saturday May 7th will mark the dates for the 4th annual Harlem Holistic Wellness Week celebration; the focus of HHWW 2016 will be on the growing population of individuals between the ages of 40 and 80 years of age.

This will include Baby Boomers who are now over 30% of the U.S. population. The Boomer generation are individuals born between 1946 and 1964. The 40+ focus will also include those who are part of the X generation individuals born between, 1961 and 1981.

This year Harlem Wellness practitioners, programs and businesses will be asked to develop special promotional activities that will target  boomer and x generation individuals interested in exploring natural wellness health options.
The main objective of this year’s Harlem wellness week will be to introduce natural products and services to the 40+ population who are looking for natural ways to proactively prevent disease, slow the effects of aging and improve the overall quality of life.

Meditation, Tai Chi, Yoga, KI Training, swimming even line dancing can be useful tools for developing a proactive natural wellness strategy.
The wellness industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world. More people are turning to natural health care options, creating tremendous opportunities in the business of wellness. I believe there will be a day when prevention strategies will be viewed more cost effective then cure in the health care industry.

Insurance companies are taking a closer look at ways to offer clients proactive wellness and prevention strategies. This is due in part because of the staggering cost of a reactive health care system and the growing numbers of Americans in the 40+ population.

The Alzheimer’s Association currently reports 1 out of 10 Americans over 65 will suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. The American Cancer Association reports that 1 out of 2 men will develop cancer in their life time.
The American Health Association cites heart disease is the number 1 killer of women and 1 out of 8 American women will have breast cancer in their life time.

This is why many Americans young and old are turning to holistic wellness options of prevention, education and stress reduction programs.
If you are a Harlem based wellness practitioner or have a wellness related business or program that has products or services which can be used as part of a 40+ self-healing wellness strategy and would like to participate in this year’s Harlem Holistic Wellness Week send me an email at yourway2wellness2014@gmail.com or call 646 39-677

If you are 40+ and would like to learn more about natural ways to stay healthy keep on the lookout for more information on the special discounts for products and services during this year’s Harlem Holistic Wellness Week. You don’t have to wait until April you can call the above number and schedule an appointment at the Ki Wellness Center after reading this article.

If you are a member of generation Y also known as the Millennials (individuals born in the early 1980s to the early 2000s) this year’s Harlem Wellness Week will be a good time to start learning natural wellness health strategy options as well.

Sleeping Naked Can Improve Your Health

Sleeping Naked Can Improve Your Health
I recently came across two article suggesting that sleeping naked could improve your help. Studies show that getting less than six hour of sleep per night can lead to a higher risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. It seems the short sleep duration can lead to an elevated risk of IFG (incident-impaired fasting glucose). This elevated blood sugar can cause heart disease and diabetes. IFG can also cause weight gain.

The quality of sleep is important, four hours of uninterrupted quality sleep can be more helpful then six hours of interrupted less quality sleep, and many studies show that sleeping naked can improve the quality of sleep.  Sleeping next to a loved one or thinking of a loved one can stimulate a hormone known as oxytocin, also referred to as the “love hormone.”

Oxytocin can induce anti-stress-like effects by reducing blood pressure and cortisol levels. Studies show a stimulated oxytocin hormone can also lead to mental and psychical healing. Those who have lost the ability or desire to stimulate their love hormone tend to age faster than those who have not lost that loving feeling. Sleeping naked may be a helpful to those who need a little oxytocin stimulation.

The body needs to be cool in order for you to sleep well. During a cold night you might not want to take off your clothes to get in bed. If you have the heat up, your heavy PJs on, under the sheets and one or more blankets, the quality of your sleep may not be good because of an overheated body.  Research is finding that regulating sleep temperature can bring relief to sufferers of insomnia.

There are two types of insomnia; people with sleep onset insomnia have difficulty getting to sleep. People with sleep maintenance insomnia fall asleep easily but will wake up a number of times during the night. In both types the quality of sleep is not good, and sufferers usually have a lack of energy during the day.

Keeping the body cool while sleeping will improve the quality of sleep; and sleeping naked can help keep the body cool. This is something that you can explore yourself. It may take a little deprogramming for some to jump into the bed with no clothes on. We have been programed to put on something when we go to bed. If you are like me sleeping naked was not part of my natural self-healing strategy but I suggest you try it for a few nights and see how you feel.

I like how I feel when I wake up after sleeping nude; I feel relaxed even if I only had a few hours’ sleep.  Stress reduction, weight lost, better quality of sleep, I thought it might be worth a try, I am glad I did. Sleeping naked might take a little getting used to but most can feel a difference when waking up from a quality sleep.

I would be interested in learning how you feel after three or four nights of sleeping in the nude. Send me an email at yourway2wellness2014@gmail.com, if I get a few interesting responses about the benefits experienced by sleeping naked I will invite you to be a guest to discuss your experience on my  Urbanology wellness radio show at WHCR 90.3FM ( www.whcr.org) For more information about this subject you can also call the Ki  Wellness Center at 646 329-6727

MMR Vaccine and African American Males

MMR Vaccine and African American Males
A few weeks ago while doing research on an article about the health risk of Flu vaccine that contained Thimerosel (see www.theartofwarogers.info) I came across alarming research  showing evidence that African American males who received the MMR vaccine for Measles and Mumps before 36 months of age had a 340% increase risk of having Autism.
This information was kept in rap, it got pass my radar. It seems that on August 27th 2014  Dr. William W. Thompson, Ph.D a Senior Scientist with the Centers for Disease Control gave a press conference where he reviled that scientist at CDC had knowledge of evidence of an alarming rate of autism cases in children receiving the MMR vaccine before reaching 3 years of age.

According to documents provided by Dr. Thompson to independent researchers evidence that the rate of autism cases in African American males who received the MMR vaccine before reaching 36 months was two to three times greater than any other groups researched; was known as early as 2003.

It might seem strange that CDC would keep this research buried for twelve years.  Not so strange if you remember that CDC which was created in the early 1960’s only reviled the Tuskege Syphills Study in 1972.  The Tuskege Syphills study began in 1932 when 339 African American men took part in a study that focused on the results of untreated syphilis. The study was conducted be the Public Health Service (later to become CDC).

A CDC scientist leaked the syphilis study to the press, and a New York Times story in July 23rd 1972 became one of many articles that forced CDC to terminate the study. Most of the 339 Black men who participated in the study had died but their wives and children were also infected over a forty year period.

The evidence provided to congress by Dr. Thompson connecting autism with early MMR vaccinations to African American males is now public record. The important thing to remember is if you or someone close to you is expecting a child, especially a African American male child, research now provides evidence that MMR vaccinations before 36 moths is not recommended.

I advise expecting parents to do your research. Send an email to theway2wellness2014@gmail.com for more information on this subject or call the Ki Center at 646 39-6727

The Water Books

The Water Books
Water has always been an important symbol of Taoism. The legendary Taoist philosopher Lao Tzu wrote in the “Tao Te Ching” (a book considered the foundation of Taoism) that “nothing under heaven is more yielding, but when it attacks the hardest substance cannot prevail”. Over 70 percent of the earth is covered with water, and 70 percent of an infant’s body consists of water.

Masaru Emoto has conducted years of research focused on how water responds to music, words, and thought. Emoto’s research also gives examples of how  humans can interface with water from a spiritual plane. With the use of high-speed photography of magnified water crystals, Emoto’s research (www.masaru-emoto.net) shows how water crystals can change based on positive or negative influences.

I became aware of Mr. Emoto’s research when it was featured in the popular new age movie “What the Bleep Do We Know?” In the film Mr. Emoto’s water experiments shows how words such as “I love you” can create beautiful star snowflake-like crystals in crystallized water and how negative words like “I hate you” create odd, unappealing crystal images in crystallized water.

In his many books on water, Emoto shows pictures of how music and even thought can change how crystallized water drops appear. Two of my favorite are “Love Thyself: The Message from Water” and The Hidden Message in Water”. If you consider how music, thought, and words can affect crystallized drops of water, imagine what they can do to the water in the human body.

We understand the health related relationship between health and the body’s need for water. Mr. Emoto’s research provides evidence that water can also be viewed in other ways when it comes to wellness and stress reduction. You will find a number of people in the medical community that disagree with Mr. Emoto’s research but “What the Bleep Do We Know?” There was a time when many thought the world was flat.

We now realize that negative thinking can lead to illness, and relaxed positive thinking can be healthy, we also know that 50% of the human body consists of water. It is not difficult to see how negative thoughts can be harmful when you see how they affect water in Emoto’s research found in his water book pictures. There are many natural options available to maintain good health. Healing always starts from within. At the Ki Energy Center we use meditation, energy movements, and energy treatments to relax the mind and reduce stress.

If you visit Amazon.com you can pick-up one of Mr. Emoto’s water books and see the pictures of how negative thoughts and words can affect the water in your body, is it no wonder that stress caused by negative and fearful thinks is the foundation for 90% of our health problems. For natural options to address stress visit the Ki Center by calling 646 329-6727 or send an email to yourway2wellness2014@gmail.com for further information on this subject.
