Year of the Dog
The Dog is
eleventh of the 12 year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac.
Individuals who are born in 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018 or will be born in 2030 according
to the Chinese zodiac fall under the symbol of Dog. People born in the year of
the Dog possess the best traits of human nature.
They tend to
be honest, friendly, loyal, smart, straightforward, and venerable with a strong
sense of responsibility. There are always two sides or a Yin and Yang to all
things. The negative sides of a Dog personality are likely to be cold,
self-righteous, stubborn and critical of others.
At the Ki
Energy Center we often use an individual’s blood type as the foundation for wellness
strategies in areas of diet, and life style. The Chinese also make use of an
individual’s blood type to suggest personality traits. Individuals born under
the Dog symbol who are blood type O tend to be brave, clever, honest and
optimistic. Blood type A individuals who fall under the Dog symbol tend to be
good at helping others which is considered to be one of their greatest virtues.
Blood type B
Dog people are usually honesty and very optimistic, and those who are blood
type AB tend to have a great deal of self-control and can be prudent in their nature. This ancient
Chinese method of using DNA to identify personality traits are not unlike
wellness strategies used by Dr. Peter J. D’Adamo in his book “Live Right 4 Your
Type”.
If you were
born under the Dog symbol you should be very proactive with your health and
wellness strategies. If you have an unhealthy diet, something that can also be
determined by your DNA (see D’Adamo’s Eat Right 4 Your Type), age will begin to
create problems with your digestive system. Activity in the workforce can
create high levels of stress in a greater degree for individuals under the Dog
symbol. Yoga, meditation, and Ki Treatments can be a proactive way of
addressing that issue.
Men born in
a Dog year can be very opinionated and at times pessimistic and stubborn. They
have a deep appreciation for family and have the ability to be very
understanding and non-critical of family members and loved ones. Women born in
the year of the Dog tend to be independent and very indifferent towards people
that do not like. They are also very protective of their friends and family.
Women born in a Dog year work very hard to secure a stable income and security
for themselves and their loved ones, and will suffer with high levels of stress
when they are not able accomplish these goals.
Team work
and loyalty is the overall energy that we all should aspire to during the year
of the Dog. It is very important to create positive partnerships during this
time. Compromise and understanding are always very important factors in
developing and maintaining holistic harmonious relationships with family and in
commerce; during the Year of the Dog, they have
a greater significant.
