Harlem Holistic Wellness Day

Holistic Wellness Day in Harlem
On Saturday April 28th millions of people throughout the world will focus on holistic wellness options during World Healing Day www.worldhealingday.org and World Tai Chi and Qigong Day www.worldtaichiday.org . April 28th will also mark the first annual Holistic Wellness Day in Harlem with two major events a Holistic Wellness Expo at The City College of New York and the fifth annual World Tai Chi and Qigong Day celebration in Harlem.
The desire to find natural ways to address health has become a growing interest for a host of reasons in this country and throughout the world. Many believe that 2012 was the beginning of new cycle of spiritual awareness. I believe it marks the next stage of human evolution. Nature is selective and if the cycle of spiritual awareness is replacing the cycle of material desire, a different mindset will be necessary to maintain our health and wellbeing.
Holistic wellness options such as Acupuncture, Ki Energy treatment and training, Homeopathy, Yoga, Aromatherapy, Hydrotherapy, Tai Chi, Iridology and Ayurveda are but a few of the wellness information exhibits that will be at the  first Holistic Wellness Expo sponsored by the City College of New York’s Continuing and Professional Studies program www.cps.ccny.edu .
Dr. Robert Woodbine is coordinating the 5th annual Harlem celebration of World Tai Chi & Qigong Day in St Nicholas Park at 135th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue. The park is a pathway to City College which will provide the opportunity to participate in the two free events.
Thanks to the vision of Dr. Robert Woodbine for the past four years the St. Nicholas Park venue has been a part of World Tai Chi and Qigong Day an international movement to focus on Tai Chi and Qigong for health and world peace at the same time of day on the last Saturday in April. Many of the top Tai Chi and Qigong masters in the Tri State area will teach free classes in the park on that day.
The City College Holistic Health Expo will also provide the opportunity to register for Spring , Summer and Fall wellness classes that that are part of the new Holistic Wellness and You courses offered by the CCNY Continuing and professional Studies program. Many of the instructors will have exhibits at the expo.
The Harlem News will have a special Holistic Wellness section in the special Thursday April 26th Family Health publication of our weekly paper which is also online at www.harlemnewsgroup.com . This will give alternative health and wellness organizations, businesses and practitioners the opportunity to promote their services in the Family Health publication which will be distributed at the expo on April 28th, and in urban communities across New York.
The long term objective of the annual Harlem Holistic Wellness day will be to provide a platform for wellness practitioners in Upper Manhattan to promote their services, and collectively provide alternative health education and options to the community.
Our Ki Energy Center will participate in both events if you would like more information on the April 28th Holistic Wellness Day call my office at 646 329-6727 or send an email to tonyrogers@urbanologysystems.com.
